UNUSUAL ANALYSIS ON THE REAL AND UNKNOWN FACTORS AND REASONS FOR THE OUTCOME OF THE GENERAL ELECTION, 2018 – PART II.

Even those institutions and their supporters did not realize this and they can never ever realize it, even when there have been acts by some individuals to belittle the Raja-Raja and Islam themselves, with so few of them having forced to pay for their misdeeds by the courts.

Unfortunately, if the Pakatan government does not realize this and knows how to solve the problem I have posed, they too would face similar backlash in the five years they are in power and the worst effects will be seen in the next Fifteenth General Election that is due in 2021 or earlier.
Not only that most of the anti-social behaviors of the average Malaysians including road rage and inconsiderate and illegal parking and the littering in public places and not properly using public facilities and not conducting oneselves with others, can be attributed to what RTM and the other televisions stations had been doing all this while.
Unfortunately, all there were expressed more dramatically in the political and pseudo-political discourses that one sees in the social media and other private and public platforms, including street protests organized by the loose Bersih group.
And this is what most, if not all Malaysians saw as the ultimate form of anger that many Malaysians then had, which grew out of them through the contribution and encouragement of the television stations, with their executives and producers realizing it, even if they read this in this analysis.

4.       KHAIRY JAMALUDDIN AND PEMUDA UMNO LEAVING THE STREETS BARE FOR BERSIH TO TAKE OVER FOR AMERICAN-STYLE STREET THEATER AND ENTERTAINMENT.

The Bersih protests that had been held over the last few years before the
last general election happened when the streets that Pemuda Umno
had wrest control were left by them.
This happened when the new Ketua Pemuda or Youth Chief,
Khairy Jamaluddin who wanted to put a new face for the youth section of Umno, to be more liberal and not to take issues to the streets.
Little did he realize that the could spell the end of Pemuda Umno,
as we knew it, and the ‘angry young men’ who had passion for his their ideals, too, became a thing of the past.
Bersih appeared, and soon enough, those who had backed
Pemuda Umno, too, started to support Bersih and whatever they stood for, even when they are vague and oftentimes, raised irrelevant
issues, with their copycat slogans that had been spouted by other groups
in America earlier.
Yet, Pemuda Umno did not do anything to arrest the problem
they had created for themselves to stop such display of crass ‘street
theater’ by Bersih and their supporters.

5.       HOW THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA AND ROYAL MALAYSIAN POLICE (PDRM) ACTUALLY HELPED BY BEING THEIR ‘PROMOTERS’!

Ironically, it was the mainstream media and also PDRM that had
indirectly (or directly) helped to promote Bersih and the protests they
were organizing by giving them wide coverage.
This was done by purpose or not, but the truth the then
Inspector-General of Police (IGP) and the other senior officers of Bukit Aman had gone out of their way to ensure that the protests were
given wide publicity, by pretending they were against them!

6        REPEALING THE ACTS ON THE FREEDOM OF THE PRESS AND OF ASSEMBLY, AND FINALLY THE INTERNATIONAL SECURITY ACT (ISA).

The act of repealing the laws against illegal assembly and also the publications Acts, had in fact also encouraged some Malaysians to take advantage of the freedoms that had been given to them to the extent that the then government could not envisage the disadvantage that they had given to themselves.
This had empowered those who were bent on creating mischief and to create more unnecessary theater to become more crass, the end results of which promote ‘Leftist’ sentiments amongst those who now knew they would not be severely punished, as it was seen as a sign of maturity many absent-mindedly thought, and it was something that they were proud of, as such sentiments too had been cultivated and encouraged by the television stations and media in many ways, all of which are unknown to them.
In other words, RTM and the private television stations and mainstream media, including those newspapers which were said and charged for being too biased for the BN government then, were in fact, supporting the opposition then, and who caused BN to lose big in GE15 that their own executives were not aware of.
The last straw was the repealing of the International Security Act or ISA, which created some individuals who sprung at many public forums to promote their own versions of things including the expression of views that were once considered to be unheard of.
American-style ambush journalism, too, helped their cause in many ways, and most of it can be blamed on the newspaper editors who encouraged the sharing of views from such people.

7.       1MDB AND OTHER DISTRACTING ISSUES AND NOT REAL ISSUES THAT CAUSED UMNO AND BN TO FALL.

1MDB is the poor man’s WMD.
The major issues that some political parties and NGOs and other
groups aligned to the Left, had been harping, were all minor ones that
could have been swiped off if those acts and other institutions of the then
government and mass media, especially Utusan and RTM and the other
television stations had not been changed.
These issues could be easily stopped even before they could
become issues of significance for even the worst critics of the government to further dwell on, in ceramahs or other public forums that could never have been allowed to happen in the first place, including in the social media and internet.
But they had allowed the regular speakers in ceramahs and
Facebook and social media outlets something that they could further add,
for pure entertainment, and to belittle the status quo of Umno and BN
and the federal and state government then and their leaders, who only
managed to take things for granted until the issues attained some measure
of scandals and controversies that needed to be solved in order to ‘save
the country’.
And instead of charging any country with WMD that the
country did not have any means of attaining it, the 1MDB charge would be sufficient to cause the collapse of any government. 1MDB therefore is the poor man’s WMD.
