FIRST INVINCIBLE ATTACK ON UTUSAN MALAYSIA – IN THE HITTING THE HEAD AND THE BODY WILL DIE STRATEGY! – PART I.

UMNO AND BN WERE INVINCIBLE, BUT WHY NOT KNOCK
UTUSAN AND UMNO AND BN GOVERNMENT WILL FALL.
This was to cause Umno and also BN and hence the BN government to collapse, is to first bankrupt Utusan and to weaken its special position in the eyes of many Melayu and other Malaysians, and to also cause the attempts to make Bahasa Melayu as the real and true national language.

Umno and BN then were too entrenched in Malaysian politics and their ties to the independence of the country in 1957 and formation of Malaysia in 1963.
Their weakest point that not many could see if Utusan, that had been described as their mouthpiece or propaganda organ.
So an attempt had to be made to cause Utusan to become less popular with the masses especially the Melayu mass whose continued support could ensure Umno and also BN’s future.
An ingenious way was devised and it was not difficult to do because those in Umno and BN and their strategists were all not qualified in espionage. All of them were busy looking elsewhere and dealing with issues that they saw before their eyes, to not notice how their very status was being eroded slowly.
This is something no Malaysian had ever imagine; or could tell how and way Utusan was attacked and was made to be redundant, and how the attack was done and by who. No-one noticed it, even those in Utusan.
And even now when I am saying it, to know how it was done and by whom that had caused the national newspaper to suffer indignities it has been suffering for more than two decades.
And I do not wish to go into greater details on this matter, as the others, too; suffice to say that this and the others I am listing down below are the real reasons why Umno and BN fell, and not much because of the others many assume them to be.
The slide of BN and especially Umno had not been realized even by their own strategists and other leaders all of whom were too busy being distracted by their daily chores of managing the ministries in the old-fashioned way of meeting the rakyat and giving speeches and appearing in public gatherings, etc.
The truth is the attack on BN or more specifically Umno had happened long before campaign for the last elections were announced and held, as could be seen in the results of the previous three elections when Umno and BN started to lose more seats and the two-third majority they had enjoyed before, to a simple majority and now, loss.
The whole episode started very quietly and unknown to everybody in Umno and BN with the ‘attack’ on Utusan Malaysia, the newspaper that had a wide readership and a large number from the non-Melayu and very influential, whose aim was to cripple the newspaper which was the main mouthpiece or publicity piece of Umno for so long.
I am not going to explain any further on how the attack on Utusan Malaysia had happened. What I can say is that it happened and no-one in Umno was smart enough to realize this, even when its circulation plummet from 600,000 at its peak to 160,000 before the last elections.
The circulation of Utusan has become worse a year or two before the last elections.
In fact, it is also true of the other Umno newspapers which saw their circulation and readership shrunk, so much so some punitive actions had to be undertaken by them to curtail more losses.
The rise in the popularity of the social networks and internet is good to discuss in theory because its effects are not strong enough to destabilize the status quo of Umno and BN, to further paralyze them.
Attempts to make the Umno leaders and hence, the federal government of BN to realize this had proved to be futile, because they were living in their own glass cage and not wanting to listen to others, especially those who are specialists in media studies.
Even now, none of them and the general public knows how the attack on Utusan had been launched and which caused the media organization with its maiden platform which is Utusan Malaysia to become less relevant to the masses, including the Melayu.

2.       HOW A MERE, NEW GLC COULD HAVE SAVED UMNO AND BN IN GE14:

The formation of a new government-linked company (GLC) could have Solved the problems faced by
Utusan, Umno and BN and changed the outcome of GE14, to trounce Pakatan for good.
As a result the circulation of Utusan could reach one million copies per day, reaching all strata
of society.
But this did not happen, because those in Umno and BN were not aware of what was hitting
them and their parties, because they were busy squabbling over small matters and irrelevant issues and
hanging dirty linen in public for all to see, and for their own supporters to reassess their personal and
state or government conviction.
Unfortunately, many of them had none! And many in Umno and BN were too conceited to
admit that they were not trained to smell something foul that had started to appear in their own parties to be able to do something or anything with it until they started to suffocate and wither
together and fall one by one in GE14.
Even if it the problems faced by Utusan as a result of the assault of them had been conducted without them or anyone in Umno and BN realizing this, this could be solved so very easily, i.e. if the BN government then knew how to go about doing it, which is to establish a new GLC, and everything will be solved and Utusan’s place in the eyes of the Melayu and the country could have been enhanced to a new level of influence that they had never achieved or managed to do before.

3.       FRIENDLY FIRE: INCOMPETENCE OF RTM AND OTHER TELEVISION STATIONS’ EXECUTIVES AND CARELESS OFFICIALS OF KKMM AND ITS MINISTER.
Not many realize how RTM and the other television stations had been encouraging the people and especially, the Melayu to hate the government.
But this problem is self-inflicted because of the fact is that there is no one in the Ministry of Communication and Multimedia or Kementerian Komunikasi dan Multimedia (KKMM) who would know what I am talking about, to realize it even when they are now told of it.
In fact, the Melayu had been encouraged and even taught to hate themselves, the Raja-Raja and also Islam in less subtle ways, all not known and recognized and realized by the authorities and those who claim to support such institutions.
I do not blame the first-time Melayu voters who surged to reject Umno and BN, because they had been taught for too long to do that, and also to hate the Raja-Raja and Islam.
The officials in the KKMM and its minister and his predecessors all did not know about this because they are not qualified on the subject as does the current one.
Again, I am not going to dwell further on the matter and will not explain further on it.
