FIFTY NUISANCE-NEWS-MAKERS-FAKERS HOGGING THE MEDIA TRAFFIC AND CAUSING CONFUSION IN THE COUNTRY.
…AND THE NEWSPAPER EDITORS ARE DIRECTING TRAFFIC TO ALLOW THEM TO HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY.

AND WE’RE SUPPOSED TO BE ENTERTAINED BY THEIR STUPID ANTICS?!
IF YOU DON’T BELIEVE ME, THEN JUST ASK THE FIFTY OR SO PERSONS I’M TALKING ABOUT TO GO FOR A HOLIDAY OVER THE WEEKEND AND I CAN BET, THERE IS NO STORY WHICH IS NEWSWORTHY OF PUBLICATION IN THE PAPERS AND BROADCAST ON TELEVISION.
THEY MOSTLY DEAL WITH SOCIO-CULTURAL-LINGUISTIC-ECONOMIC, RELIGIOUS-POLITICAL ISSUES AT THE BASE LEVEL.
And as for the repetitive crime cases that are reported, they are the result of bad or poor quality lawmakers and ‘oppositioning’ who had turned parliament into a circus.
Where are the think-tankers and smart persons in Malaysia? Where are the smart and brilliant and experienced media persons, think-tanks and intelligence in the country?
Some of them had been given the top journalism awards; others have been described as champions for the freedom of speech, etc, etc.
But none of them could ever go up to talk about what I am writing, including those who are in the think-tanks.
Where are their views on this matter? They have none. Because they are always looking elsewhere.
Maybe they are just not well educated or qualified to be able to write something like this.
And for that matter, where are the senior personnel in Bukit Aman who should also be interested to know what I’m writing in this article?
The truth of the matter is that, Malaysia is being hijacked by just a small bunch of pseudo-experts, pseudo-politicians and has-beens in academia, politics and what have you with some of them who are lawyers wanting to create jobs for themselves.
Yes, just fifty of them have managed to hog the media traffic jam causing the whole country to turn upside down.
And where in Kuala Lumpur they create most of the nuisance-news for the media? There are at few places only.
They are in the lobby of the parliament, the courts and sometimes on the streets and the headquarters of the respective parties.
This is where many front-page news in Malaysia are created on an everyday basis. And this is something which the media owners and media gatekeepers are not aware of.
And this is also how the government and their leaders and other opinated personages do not know of, simply because they are also sometimes benefiting from it.
Where in the world has the lobby of parliament become convenient centers for the media to converge and practice their brand of ambush journalism, but in Malaysia?
There is no lobby of parliament anywhere in the world where the lobby of their parliament has been trampled by the media cheaters and creators and nuisance and news makers and fakers.
Maybe the media owners had deliberately done this so that they can sell their papers. It’s all commercial crass that is slowly leading the country onto a downward slope of confusion simply because the media owners do not know how to sell their papers anymore that they have to manufacture filth to fill the many pages most of which have been booked by the advertisers anyway.
And whatever space left by the advertisements must be used to fill with news. And with not much news that the papers can publish, they have to manufacture filth to do that over the many foreign and syndicated ones that they habitually use to fill other spaces in their papers.
Must we continue to allow them to have their say and day all the time and everyday?
Must we also continue to allow only fifty people in the country to hijack civility and create confusion just because they are not smart enough to raise issues at proper places in the parliament and state assemblies that they have to do so in the streets?
Don’t they have any sense of what and who they are?
Maybe yes, if this problem is not highlight and the media owners and media gatekeepers are totally blind as they are now.
But maybe not, if we are now aware of what’s happening in the country vis-à-vis with the fifty or so persons who are mischievous and who get their thrill by repeating their media pranks everyday.
Not a day is spared without any of the fifty persons who hog the media traffic. Yet, the media owners and media gatekeepers and even officers in the ministry of home affairs or kementerian dalam negeri (KDN) and especially its ministers not realizing this.
Don’t expect anyone in the parliament to be able to raise this issue in the august house in their deliberations this April, as they are some of them who are also in the list of fifty nuisance-news-makers-fakers.
Of the fifty nuisance-news-makers-fakers, there are Melayu, Chinese, Indians and two Punjabis.
Yes, the Punjabis, whom the Melayu had described albeit erroneously as Bengali have been known to be peaceful and quiet people. They number at around two hundred thousand persons. So that is the reason why they had become very quiet and even docile.
They and the others in the Indian communities who are also small in numbers have become quiet and docile so long. But not the Tamils who are the noisiest simply because they are the largest in the Indian community.
Actually, the Tamils are not 1.5 persons but much less. The reason why their leaders like to quote this number is because they always talk about the Indian community which includes even those who are not Tamils.
So the total number of Tamils in Malaysia is no more than one million persons. And their total percentage in Malaysia is also diminishing like the percentage of the Chinese in the country which will shrink to a mere eighteen percent with the Indians at eight percent by 2035.
And from amongst the two hundred Punjabis in Malaysia, there are only TWO amongst them who are very noisy. They are the ones who are leading the pack, being lawyers cum members of parliament.
The senior Punjabi has been in the political and legal limelight both outside of the dock as well as in it, for too long. But no-one seems to have asked why is he not moving away from the scene?
They had asked Mahathir to move along. But the same persons have not asked by the senior Punjabi has not bothered to move along and retire from active politics.
They have also not asked the others, which include some Chinese and Melayu as well as Indians who have been in the business for too long to move along to make way for the younger generation of nuisance-news-makers-fakers to take over from where they have left.
No. They are only interested to ask those on the other side of the fence to move along, but they themselves do not bother to heed their own advice.
Does this means that they only give bad advice to the others which they themselves could not use.
And because of that Mahathir had to heed their advice, which was first mooted by those in the fifty nuisance-news-makers-fakers, which were taken by some from within his group.
But those in the opposition who have also been in the same business have not done the same deed.
They still want to hog the media traffic like they have not had enough of thrill.
Fifty people who are nuisance-news-makers-fakers are the ones who are creating most of the news in the country.
Yet, the Barisan and Umno leadership and the other think-tanks do not realize this. They think that there is a total upheaval in the country when there isn’t any.
The truth is that these fifty persons who are the ones who are also being used by the media for their front-page stories and others which are created on a daily basis through ambush journalism, an invention that was created by Malaysian editors.
Ambush journalism is what dries the Malaysian media; it sells papers. Without ambush journalism, there is no colorful news that the papers can publish.
If the government, Barisan and Umno truly want to create a more conducive environment in the country, they should address the matter concerning the noisy fifty. There are some ways that this can be done.
But I doubt it if there is anyone in the government, Bukit Aman, Barisan, Umno and the think-tanks can ever wonder how it can be done. The reason being that they are not qualified to know even the existence of this group.
Are they totally blind not to see who they are and why they are still allowed to hog the media traffic in the country, which had caused a bit of consternation to the general public at times in the past?
Are they also not sure how this same group can morph to become the devil incarnate in the near future, at the slightest provocation by the government or authorities?
